We’re delighted to announce that we have been nominated in the charities category of the Website of the year Award 2014.
Each year you are invited to vote for your favourite website within each of the 19 categories.
There are also prizes for Best Website and Most popular sites. Last year nearly 89,000 votes were cast, with Macmillam taking the prize of best charity website and Unicef winning most popular charity website.
Important year for us and our website
It’s been an important year for us and our website. With over half of you now visiting us from your mobile or tablet, we’ve reacted by giving you a site that is optimised for any device.
Our site has also been given a makeover, to remove some of the clutter and give it a cleaner look and feel, helping you find what you need in fewer clicks.
Our assistant website editor, Richard Burn, said:
“With the recent update our site now has a more modern feel and is more focused on the needs of the user.
“It would be an amazing honour to win this award after all the hard work that has been put in.”
