The RSPCA is appealing for information after a cat was found abandoned with a note.

The tabby cat, known as Bex, was found by a member of the public at the side of the road on Heol Y Deri, Rhiwbina, Cardiff on 23 August, next to a veterinary surgery.

RSPCA Cymru is encouraging people to get behind their sky lantern campaign.

The Welsh Government has called on local authorities to bring in a voluntary ban. At the moment four out of the 22 local authorities in Wales have a ban on the release of sky lanterns on council land. The four councils are Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire, Caerphilly and Conwy.

Pony power prevailed at this year’s Equifest as two were named the RSPCA Rescue Ponies of the Year!

A Dartmoor pony we discovered close to death and helped fight back to health called Little Ted scooped the Champion place. Meanwhile Pearly Princess from Thornberry Animal Sanctuary was crowned reserve champion.
