THE RSPCA is appealing for information after three quails were found dumped in a brown box.
A member of the public found the three young birds, which are the size of a hand, in an alley off Trebanog Road, Trebanog, Porth on Monday (25 August) at around 2.30pm.
Inspector Selina Chan said: “The three quails appear healthy.
“We are appealing for information as perhaps somebody had purchased them recently not knowing what they were doing with them.”
Anyone who may have information about this incident should contact the RSPCA on 0300 1234 999. Calls are treated in confidence.
