They may not have much in common on paper but the characters of the hit TV show Game of Thrones have some unlikely animal doppelgangers.
The much anticipated fourth season of HBO’s Game of Thrones launches on Sunday in the US and hits UK screens the following day.
Like the diverse cast of Game Of Thrones, we want to showcase its wide variety of animals up for rehoming – from dogs and cats to pigs and horses.
Whether you are from House Stark, Lannister or a wanna-be ‘Mother of Dragons’ all these Game of Thrones animals are looking for homes and loving owners to take them in.
Three year old gentle giant Barry is a bull mastiff and is staying at our South Godstone centre. He is recovering from an operation on his hind leg and needs a loving home to give him some TLC. Barry is as gentle as The Hound is fearsome, but both are equally brave when it comes to enduring hardships.
12-year-old Sheba is in our Wimbledon branch. She is a beautiful cat and she knows it! When she came in as a stray her fur was quite matted so her new owners would need to keep up her grooming regime to keep her looking lovely. Like the ‘Mother of Dragons’, Sheba has a winning combination of a gentle heart and a strong will. Could she be the one to take her rightful place as the Queen of your castle?
Two-year-old cocker spaniel Buster came into the care of our Birmingham centre after his owners failed to seek veterinary attention for his fractured foreleg. Just like Jon Snow in Game of Thrones he is dogged, loyal and has puppy-dog eyes to die for!
This gorgeous one-year-old spaniel Coco is staying at our South Godstone centre. She is a happy, lively and loves company. Just like ladylike Sansa, Coco is a dainty sort who likes nothing more than being life and soul of the party.
Two-year-old Milo is just one of the pigs in our care. Just like King Robert, pigs are sociable, outgoing and can have voracious appetites. Our pigs may not have broods of suspiciously blond piglets, but they certainly want new families of their own!
Poor Clipper has had a rough ride after being rescued from the floods in December. He is four-years-old and stands at 12.2hh he is staying in Surrey and is fully microchipped and passported. While Khal Drogo may lead a famously nomadic life as a powerful Horse-Lord, gorgeous Clipper just wants somewhere to settle down.
Unlike the hateful Joffrey, poor Beatrix has ended up at our Millbrook Centre through no fault of her own as she is a lovely pet. At 16-years-old she was found as a stray and though microchipped nobody wanted her back. She now hopes to find a forever home to live out her last few years. Teenage Joffrey, the current ruler of the Seven Kingdoms, is known as a ‘vicious idiot’ by family and foes alike – which couldn’t be further away from his sweet-natured look-a-like.
