We have today launched our first pet food range designed by experts and containing only UK sourced ingredients.
We’re the first national charity to launch a full range of pet food, with all the proceeds going back to the charity to help the welfare of animals.
Happy healthy pets
The pet food is hypoallergenic and contains no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and does not contain beef, pork, dairy or soya.
It is full of nutritional vitamins and minerals and is a ‘complete’ food meaning it contains all your pet needs to keep it healthy.
The new food is available for dogs and cats aged from kitten or puppy through adult to the senior light range.
The protein used in the food is chicken and fish and is tailored to the three ages of dog and cat.
Pet food – for cats, dogs and small animals
The food has been trialled in RSPCA centres around the country and has been developed by specialist pet food nutritionists and our science teams.
It is currently on sale from our online shop £8.99 for a 2kg bag of adult cat food and £34.99 for a 12kg of adult dog food.
The range also includes a small animal food range aimed at rabbits and guinea pigs. A bag of 2kg dried rabbit food is £3.99.
The food has been developed with specialist pet food nutritionists, RSPCA science teams, and frontline staff.
Chief veterinary officer James Yeates said:
“Our pet food is nutritionally balanced and working to improve animal welfare by shortening the supply chain and sourcing from the UK.
“We have made sure the packaging gives really good advice to pet owners to ensure they are giving their animals the healthiest diet and lifestyle possible.
“The dogs and cats in our animal centres have enjoyed eating the food and it has fulfilled all their nutritional needs.
“This food is for people who love not only their own animals but who care about the welfare of animals in the RSPCA’s care.”
