We’re appealing for a new home for one of our less attractive residents – a cat with cauliflower ears.

Poor Simon has been in our care since October last year, after he was picked up as a stray.

When he was found his ears were described as ‘cauli-flowered, filthy and full of ear mites’.

The Llys Nini Animal Centre in Swansea is making a special appeal for new homes for around 50 cats who have battled a life-threatening illness but are now fit and well and desperately in need of loving homes.

We have co-ordinated the dramatic rescue of a young female calf who fell a hundred feet over a cliff during a landslip.

The heifer, a seven-month-old Dexter, became stranded in an inaccessible cove below the Lizard lighthouse in Cornwall.

Although the calf miraculously appeared relatively unharmed, planning her rescue would take several days. So, wet hay was dropped over the cliff to ensure the calf had adequate food and hydration while the rescue was worked out.

RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information about a young female horse found on a common at Pantypwllau in Coity, Bridgend on January 8 2014.

A dog has been reunited with his owners after wandering away from his new home in Monmouthshire.

English bull terrier, Dylan went missing from his home in Gilwern on Tuesday 14th January 2014. His owners had only recently moved to the house and Dylan managed to escape from an outdoor run he was in while builders worked on the property.
