Collie-type dog abandoned without food or water
Wednesday 6 November 2013
RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information about a dog found tied to a tree on a Wrexham bridleway.
The tri-coloured collie-type dog who is approximately one-year-old was found by a member of the public near Berse Lane in Bersham on Saturday 2 November 2013.
He was tied with a bale string that was looped around the neck so it tightened when he strained to get away. As a result he ended up bruising his neck in the throat area. He was very thin and had a high temperature.
The dog was examined by a vet and given a course of antibiotics. He wasn’t microchipped and remains in the care of the RSPCA while enquiries are made to find his owner.
Inspector Kia Thomas commented: “This dog was left with no food or water and tied up with a string that injured him when he tried to pull away.
“He is a lovely natured dog and didn’t deserve to be left like this. If anyone has information about this dog we are eager to speak to them as soon as possible”.
Anyone with infomation can call the inspector’s information line on 0300 123 8018. All calls will be treated in confidence.
