The RSPCA is appealing for information after a black with brown markings was found with air pellet wounds in the Trebanos area of Swansea.
The elderly and thin animal was collected from Heol y Llwynau, Trebanos on Monday 30 September. The caller had been feeding the stray cat and the animal is now in RSPCA care. Veterinary examination has revealed two air rifle pellets below his rib cage.

Campaign opposes Welsh Government proposals on staff to dog ratio at breeding establishments.

RSPCA Cymru has launched a campaign opposing Welsh Government proposals which could see a single member of staff in a dog breeding establishment looking after hundreds of dogs and puppies at the same time.

We have been called out to try and rescue between 400 and 500 mallard ducks caught in an oil spill on a lake in North Wales.
Most of the birds are heavily coated with a thick engine oil which was dumped in Glyndyfrdwy, Corwen, Denbighshire on Thursday (26 September 2013).
RSPCA inspectors, including some specially trained in wildlife, are staging a major rescue of the birds before taking them to our wildlife centres for treatment and care.
