RSPCA appeals for owner to come forward
Wednesday 30 October

RSPCA Cymru is appealing for the owner of a rabbit to come forward following the animal’s death in Buckley.

The lop eared fawn and tortie coloured rabbit was attacked by a cat in Burntwood Road on Sunday 27 October. When the animal was taken to a nearby veterinary surgery, she was barely able to walk and her head was hanging to one side.

Following a veterinary examination the animal was diagnosed with a untreatable parasitic infection and sadly put to sleep to prevent further suffering.

RSPCA officer Claire Davies said: “This is a very sad situation and there must be a rabbit owner in the Buckley area missing their pet. If anyone recognises this lovely rabbit, I’d urge them to contact me as soon as possible.”

If anyone has any information about this incident they are urged to contact the RSPCA Inspector  information line on 0300 123 8018. Calls will be treated in confidence.
