grass snake

RSPCA rescues come in all shapes and sizes, even when it comes to slithery grass snakes.

A grass snake was found trapped in garden netting that covered the householder’s cabbages in Caergwrle, Wrexham on Monday 2 September.

An RSPCA officer successfully cut the snake free and released the creature back into the wild.

RSPCA inspector Rachael Davies said: “This simple rescue operation just shows that we’re here for all animals. RSPCA officers exist to guard the welfare of all creatures great and small and I’m delighted that we were able to help this delightful reptile.”
