A puppy with a broken right leg and a serious wound to its left leg has been dumped on the pavement outside a vets in Leighton Buzzard in the middle of the night.

The puppy, who is believed to be a Spaniel/Jack Russell cross, was left on the pavement in the dark in the middle of an industrial estate off Grovebury Road with no shelter and no food and water.

The RSPCA is again warning about the dangers of fishing litter after a seal suffered horrific injuries after becoming tangled in a line and hooks.

The grey seal pup was collected by an RSPCA inspector on Monday 12 August from Blakeney, Norfolk and taken to the RSPCA East Winch Wildlife Centre for treatment.

RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after a cat was found hanging from a tree in the Rhymney area.

The female tabby was found impaled on the branch of a tree in Tan y Bryn on Wednesday 14 August at 8.20am. Another cat was found impaled in the same place a month ago.
