Four lorries of sheep and calves arrived at the Dover Docks this morning and sailed to Calais, with a further shipment expected later today.
Today marks the biggest shipment of animals from Dover since trade resumed from the port in May.

RSPCA Cymru’s animal centre in North Wales is making a special appeal for loving homes for nine Staffordshire Bull Terriers they have in their care.

Three pets have been abandoned at a house in Mountain Ash by their owners who are suspected of doing a “midnight flit” from the property.
Police officers and RSPCA Inspector Gemma Cooper were called to the house in Dilwyn Street after being alerted by a member of the public.
As there were no keys available for the property access was gained through the front window of the house.
