The cygnet was trapped on the Shropshire Canal
RSPCA officer Claire Davies managed to catch the cygnet in a net. After making sure he wasn’t injured, the cygnet was placed in a specially designed swan bag and then put in a carrier while a search was launched for the rest of his family.
He was kept safe until his family could be found
Eventually two adult swans and a number of other cygnets were located further along the canal and the cygnet was released and quickly swam to be with his family.
