RSPCA Cymru is warning that animal welfare in Wales could be irreparably damaged if dangerous proposals to curb charity shop rate relief go ahead. The Society has recently responded to Welsh Government proposals to reduce the business rate relief for charity shops in Wales from 80 to 50 per cent from 2022.

A young duckling landed himself in hot water – literally – after he managed to get stuck in a car wash at a Tesco’s in Norfolk.
The duckling was found around 4pm on Thursday 27 June at the car wash at the Tesco store in Hunstanton.
He was found soaking wet near to the car wash and was handed in to a worker at the store.

Our officers and wildlife experts will be ringing geese in the Lake District tomorrow (Tuesday 2 July) as part of efforts to better understand the population in the area.
The project is a major part of the commitment made by us to assist the Windermere Geese Management Group.
