We are appealing for information after three herring gulls were shot with an airgun in a Cumbrian town.

The birds were found on Church Street in St Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria with several air gun pellets scattered around them last Wednesday (12 June). Two had died, and a third was badly injured and taken to a vet for treatment.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after seven cats became the latest victims of irresponsible owners in the Luton area.

 

The mother cat and her five six-week-old kittens were found along with an older kitten, thought to be from an earlier litter, in two cardboard boxes outside a takeaway in High Town Road on Thursday (13 June).  They were looked after for two days by the person who found them and the RSPCA was called on Saturday (15 June)…. A baby polecat is in our care after being found without his mum in a field in Somerset.

The tiny-young kit is thought to be just a few weeks old and was found alone, hungry and trembling in an exposed spot near our West Hatch Animal Centre near Taunton last Thursday, 6 June.

We appealing for information after a pony was shot in the face in a callous and brutal act of animal cruelty.

Bambi, a ten-year-old chestnut mare, was shot in the nose with a 20 inch bolt arrow, most likely fired from a crossbow.

The injured pony was spotted by a concerned member of the public on Monday, 10 June, at around 7pm in her field near Broad Car Road, Hoyland, Barnsley.
