The RSPCA is appealing for information about a white bull terrier cross dog who was found cowering under an abandoned van in Catford on Wednesday 27 February.

The dog was suffering from an eye injury which looked like it may have been in a fight with another dog when it was straying.

He had taken shelter under a blue Volkswagen van on Ravensbourne Park which had not been moved for some time.

He was in poor condition and very thin and had pressure sores on several joints.

RSPCA inspector, Rebecca Timberlake said: “He got scared when we tried to get him to come out from under the van but soon calmed down when he realised we meant him no harm.

“He seems like a really nice boy but he had no collar or microchip and we are hoping that someone may recognise him and tell us who the owner is.”

If you have any information please call our inspector information line in confidence and leave a message for Inspector Timberlake on 0300 123 8018.
