The RSPCA is appealing for information after a dog was handed in to RSPCA Bradford & Distirct Animal Centre in a terrible condition.


The male brindle coloured Staffordshire bull terrier type was emaciated, suffering from mange and eye infections and his nails were so long they had grown into his feet. He was put to sleep on veterinary advice.

If you live in Wales, you have until St David’s Day (1 March) to let the Welsh Government know that you support the Control of Dogs (Wales) Bill .

The consultation on the new Bill lays out the Welsh Government’s plans to tackle irresponsible dog ownership in Wales. This can be anything from an owner letting a dog stray and foul, or not dealing with aggressive or other inappropriate behaviour towards other dogs, animals or people.

A horse found collapsed in Swanley in Kent in the middle of the night appears to have been dumped by her owner because of her injuries.

The female. skewbald horse, is thought to be about two-years-old. She was found on School Lane next to a public footpath on 13 February just after midnight.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a kitten was found in one box and a rabbit in another, stacked on top of each other, at the side of a Darlington road.


The animals were found in a lay-by on the A66 in Sadberge on Friday 8 February by a member of the public who called the RSPCA.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a dog which was tied to railings was found strangled with the lead around her neck.


The dog was found tied to the railings behind a disused railway line at Straws Bridge. Ilkeston on Monday 4 February.


She was found tied up on a very short lead and it is thought that she had struggled to escape and as a result flipped over and sadly strangled herself.
