If your New Year resolution is to get fit in 2013, running the Bupa London 10,000 could be the perfect training goal and a chance to raise money for the RSPCA’s vital animal welfare work.
The 10km race (6.2 miles) takes place on Monday 27 May 2013 and starts and finishes in The Mall.
It follows a clockwise route around London and runners pass many of the city’s famous sights, including St Paul’s Cathedral, Mansion House, the Bank of England, Millennium Bridge, the London Eye and Big Ben.
Buckingham Palace acts as an impressive backdrop for both the start and finish of the race.
RSPCA events manager Katie Sutcliffe said: “We rely on our supporters to raise the money we need to help animals in need and we are now busier than ever, with more pets, wildlife and farm animals needing our help.
“If you’d be interested in supporting us in the Bupa London 10,000, you can either apply for an RSPCA place or, if you have your own place, join the RSPCA team by registering your details. Thank you for your wonderful support!”
RSPCA team members will receive a free fundraising pack, which includes an RSPCA running vest and t-shirt, a year’s subscription to the RSPCA magazine, a sponsorship form, running guide, stickers, posters and collection boxes.
